How do I find out if a film is available for home rental or purchase?
We do our best to include notice of dvd/vhs availability in our film Archive section. However, you can also search for the film by title at www.imdb.com and the result will tell you if the film is currently available on dvd or vhs.

How can I rent a film to show at my synagogue, festival, school, etc.?
You need to contact the film's distributor - or print source - to find out what their rental policies are. We list print sources for all the films we've shown in the Festival, either in our Archive section or our current Festival Print Sources section.

Do you rent out your films?
No. We make arrangements to screen films for the public at theater venues throughout greater Boston. We do not have films available for individual or group use.

Where do your screenings take place?
We screen films at several movie theaters throughout the greater Boston area. Our primary venues for the November Festival are the Coolidge Corner Theater, the West Newton Cinema, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. During the November Festival, we also host screenings in Randolph, Danvers, Framingham, and Arlington. Visit our Venues page for details.

How can I get tickets?

Do you sell Festival Passes?
Yes! A Festival Friends Pass gets you entry to all 50+ films and events in the November Festival, and includes other great benefits as well. For those in their 20s and 30s, we also offer the ReelPass - a flexible three-film Festival pass that also includes a special cocktail reception. In 2006, we have a new pass, the Weekday Pass, that provides reduced admission to five regularly-priced films Monday-Thursday.

What happens when a film is "sold out"?
For the November Festival, we sell a certain number of seats for each show in advance. We also hold back a number of seats to be used by Passholders. Often all the Passholders do not attend, and we are able to release some seats for sale to the "Stand-By" line. This line forms no earlier than 1 hour before showtime, and tickets are released for sale 15 minutes before showtime.
